Celebrating Our Wedding Anniversary at Disney World | Megapixels Media
This past December we celebrated 6 years of marital bliss. Ok let’s keep it real not everything in marriage is blissful. There’s a lot of real life that happens when you enter the unity of marriage… you deal with diverse opinions, miscommunication, unexpected assumptions, loss, heartache… A happy marriage does not exempt you from real life’s hardships but it offer you a shoulder to lean on, an advisor to talk to and a face to sit on :) Sharing this human experience with Garrett has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. We’ve both been in positions where we needed to be the protecter and the comforter and we’ve learned (and are learning so much from each other with every passing day). Now with an infant, life is completely different than how we could ever imagine it before we said “I Do”.
And that’s what brings us to Disney World, oddly enough. For those who know us, know that we’re complete Disney Freaks and don’t care what anyone has to say about it. For us, it’s a hub of creativity and a fearless mindset that encourages anyone with a dream that with hard work and determined will you can create anything. That’s a message we will always be behind. Before we found out I was pregnant, we were planning on going to Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival… but with weddings every weekend and being bogged down from my corporate job there just wasn’t any time and when I found out I was pregnant EVERYTHING shifted. I let go of that corporate job, I created more with Megapixels Media, created more streams of income and made a healthier lifestyle change that would better support my growing family.
So finally, when my baby turned 6 months and we could come up for air from all the craziness, Garrett’s mom agreed to watch Bailey for the weekend so we could go out and be adults. There was only one place we really wanted to recharge at. The Baecation that we been wanting since 2018… a trip to Disney World, full of imagination, love and fooooooood. Being the very professional photographers that we are, we bought our Leica M10 and Canon EOS-R…and barely used them and shot most of our photos and videos on our phone lol We were seriously on Baecation mode lol but the photos you see here are from those cameras (our designated vacation cameras). Enjoy!
Oh and while we were there, we ran into one of our brides by complete coincidence! So part of our time together turned into a girls trip and it was GREAT! Look, if any of you guys ever want to do a group trip to Disney, just let us know, we’re down :D
