This year's most coveted wedding color is

*drum roll, please...*

ROSE GOLD.

Because not only is it elegant and timeless but its also adds a little spice to the day!
It's warm and inviting and yet screams "Upper echelon" so from a photographers point of view, here’s why we (Megan + Garrett) get excited to see rose gold.

It compliments darker skin tones beautifully by adding a warmer tone of gold dazzle.

It also accentuates nude tones (like the bride’s nude Louboutin heels) making detail shots really pop without trying too hard. We loved all of the rose gold details Jaheedah bought for her wedding at Main Street Ballroom. You know we love shooting at this venue and this was our first time seeing so may rose gold features in this space and it really pulled together nicely.

Even her red-headed groom

adopted the Rose Gold color theme with his suit jacket. The warm tone made him pop against Main Street Ballrooms grey and neutral stone walls. The couple chose to a do a first look and both were so thrilled to see each other!

They had their wedding ceremony right outside of their venue for safety reasons surrounded by blush and white florals with painted rose gold petals. With their closest friends and family there they celebrated their union throughout Ellicott City. After the ceremony and formal family photos, the wedding party walked across the street to take photos in the scenic old town city. After taking a session of portraits with us they headed back to Main Street Ballroom to celebrate with all of their guests!

They had a great time dancing and seeing family that they haven’t seen in so long. 2020 has been so interesting and every big gathering now feels so much more important because you just never know when you’ll be able to see everyone together again.
