Black Tie Engagement Session at The Lincoln Memorial in the Rain | Black DC Wedding Photographers
Let’s face it… We just cant control the weather.
Most of our couples schedule their engagement session with us 2 months in advance to get their preferred date of choice. In this case, Naima and Garry scheduled professional suite fitting, hair and make-up for a sunny Saturday afternoon in DC at the Lincoln Memorial. But surprisingly, the rainy day they scheduled turned into an extremely rainy day lol We asked if they would be interested in rescheduling but their sunny spirits insisted that we go on as planned!
Our couple was the epitome of Classic Black Excellence.
Naima wore a beautiful black dress and Gary wore a classic black tuxedo. These two were such a delight to be around with their warm hearts and smiling faces. We knew from this session that we were going to have an amazing wedding day with these two and their family.
We kept our couple out of the rain as much as possible but everyone else at the memorial at the time had the same idea so it was very crowded due to it being homecoming Saturday but it made some fun and authentic photos. Since it was raining and we were kind of limited on space, it gave us a chance to exercise our creative muscles to offer this couple an engagement session that not only accentuated their classic side but showed off their diversity and fun loving souls.
