I knew Jennifer and David’s Wedding was going to be special, but what I did not expect was the few blissful tears that trickled down my face as Jennifer and her father walked down the aisle. Yes, the décor was beautiful and the jazzy rendition of “A Couple of Forevers” was the perfect touch as she walked towards her future husband, but what was really touching to me was far beyond what could be witnessed at that very moment. It was the build-up to that moment that made it so exceptional.
The preparation for this moment to happen was not easy but at that moment, everyone knew that it was all worth it. All of the details from the DIY wedding projects to their handwritten vows served a purpose on this beautiful day. Garrett and I were present hours before the ceremony and we witnessed their loving friends and family primp and pamper the couple, as well as, ensuring that all last minute details were just right before they walked down the aisle.
Purple ambient light and candles warmly illuminated the room as Jennifer and David shared their first dance.
While guests were enjoying their meal, Jennifer and David slipped out of the room to have some alone time. They came back shortly in formal African attire to perform the traditional money dance.
Throughout the day there were countless smiles, endless laughs and everlasting blessings whispered into the ears of these newlyweds. Guests came from all around the globe to witness this union. I think it’s safe to say that Jennifer and David made it all worthwhile. Congrats again J+D!
