Ready to expand your options?
Big traditional weddings are out (for now) but if you still want to celebrate your union this year there are plenty of options…
Elopements, Mini-Weddings, Micro-Weddings, and Minimonies are started to gain a lot of popularity during the pandemic.
No, they’re not all the same thing and each one is for is appealing to different couples for various reasons but finding the perfect vendors for your intimate shouldn’t be hard, as long as your strategic about the right ones.
Here are the Best Ways to Find Vendors for your Intimate Celebration
Social Media is a great place to start because you can find real results (not just what wedding vendors want you to see). You can hear from real people about their experience with that professional and you may even know one of their past clients.
The 2 best social media platforms to find wedding vendors is on Instagram and Facebook. Here’s why:
On Instagram, you can use hashtags to find exactly who you’re looking for. For example, if you’re having your wedding at the Hotel Monaco in Baltimore and looking for a photographer, you could search for the following hashtags: #BaltimoreMicroWeddingPhotographer, #MicroWeddingPhotographer, #DCElopementPhotographer, #BaltimoreMicroWedding, #BaltimoreElopementPhotography, ect. You then will be able to see everyone who uses that category and find that one account that speaks to you. You can view all of their favorite work in one place and get to read a little bit about why they love what they do.
On Facebook, it gets more personal. You can look up certain Wedding Vendors and view their business page. view links to their website and blogs, as well as read real reviews from past clients. You can scroll through digital albums of all of their past events and get a feel for their style.
By fully checking out a business’ social media platform(s), you will get a real sense of who you’re potentially trusting with one of the most important days of your life.
Our Tips: Look for consistency, freshness and transparency when they post. Read the good reviews but really pay attention to any bad reviews. Ask questions and let them know your expectations :)

This is usually the first step into the wedding planning process and the main reason why we chose to share Alexis and Alonzo’s Wedding Photos today. They didn’t have a microwedding but it was very intimate with a lot of out of town guests and their venue, Woodberry Kitchen was absolutely perfect! They were so accommodating and were able to add so many custom touches to their day and when youre planning an intimate celebration like this, that’s exactly the type of service that you want to be offered.
