In the heart of Washington D.C.,
amidst the beauty of a blossoming spring, Christina and Thomas embarked on a journey of love and celebration that will forever be etched in their memories. As luxury wedding photographers, we had the privilege of capturing every enchanting moment of their big day, from the serene preparations at the Marriott to the lively reception under neon lights and inflatable guitars at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Join us as we relive the classical and cool wedding of Christina and Thomas.
The day began with the bride, Christina, and her bridesmaids getting ready at the luxurious Marriott. Excitement and anticipation filled the air as the bride prepared herself for the most important day of her life. Meanwhile, Thomas, the groom, spent his morning at his apartment in D.C., where he received a heartfelt letter from his bride-to-be, setting the tone for the day ahead.
With Christina looking resplendent in her beautiful wedding gown, the couple ventured outside, where they were greeted by raindrops. Undeterred, they hopped onto the Old Town Trolley, embarking on a romantic journey to their alma mater, Georgetown University. There, in the magnificent Dahlgren Chapel of The Sacred Heart, they exchanged vows and declared their love for one another, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the campus.
Following the ceremony,
we captured treasured family photos inside the chapel and wedding party photos around the picturesque Georgetown campus. Christina and Thomas posed beside a black retro Packard car from the 1930s, radiating vintage charm.
Afterward,
they returned to their college days by visiting The Tomb, a favorite bar from their Georgetown University years. Surrounded by friends, they enjoyed drinks on the house and reveled in nostalgia.
The couple's love story continued at the Jefferson Library of Congress,
where we captured formal and classical photographs. But, we couldn't resist a little fun as we played a spontaneous game of football, keeping the atmosphere light-hearted and joyful. With the iconic Capitol building as a backdrop, these shots were nothing short of breathtaking.
Next on our adventure,
we visited the Madison Library to capture photos in front of its grand white columns. Our journey continued to the iconic DC Mall, where we posed in front of the majestic Washington Monument, creating stunning memories of their day.
During our travels,
we made an unexpected stop at an ice cream truck, where we were gifted free ice cream, adding an extra touch of sweetness to this already memorable day.
Finally,
we arrived at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center for the couple's grand wedding reception. Underneath pink, blue, and yellow neon lights and inflatable guitars, Christina, Thomas, and their 200 guests danced the night away, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As the night drew to a close,
the couple and their guests headed to the Big Cheese, a beloved food truck in DC known for its gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, to end the evening on a delicious note.
Christina and Thomas' classical spring wedding in DC was a perfect blend of elegance and modernity.
Their journey, from the Marriott to the Jefferson Library of Congress and beyond, was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. We were honored to be a part of this extraordinary day and to capture the magic that unfolded at every turn. Cheers to Christina and Thomas, a couple whose love story is as timeless as the photographs we took.
Love Deeply,
Megan + Garrett
